"Butterflies Paradise", the brainchild of Bob Coons, singer-songwriter from McDonough, Georgia. Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, and later transplanted into the south, Bob has been longing to reallocate his priorities to move this back porch project to the forefront for over 25 years. Initially the inspiration came from a morning jog on Log Cabin Road in Smyrna Georgia. A bright sunny day in spring lead to a spectacular view of a giant flowering bush that was literally ablaze with the color of hundreds of butterflies. It was almost surreal, it was forever embedded in his memory. The instant he arrived back at his apartment he began writing the poem which became the song which became the book and subsequently the website. He wanted to share the magnificence of the butterfly with anyone that would look and listen.

Several years later after forming a band "Catchpenny" with co-members Mike Brearley and Randy Myers, they recorded the song at 404 Studios in Smyrna, Ga. The original master tape was lost in a fire later that year so the original work was never recovered. A number of different versions of the song have been modified over the years and it is Bob's hope to sing the song as  duet with a female vocalist or possibly have the song recorded by a pair of female singers, harmonizing the melody to deliver the message of the magic of "Butterflies Paradise" and eventually a video presentation and possibly a children's choir and play.
